With our Volume & Hold Scrunching Gel, you can create perfectly defined, frizz-controlled curls full of bounce and natural shine! Thanks to a natural styling polymer derived from corn, the gel shapes your curls with flexible, medium hold.

The lightweight formula spreads effortlessly, allowing you to shape individual curls with precision. During drying, a medium-strength gel cast forms, holding your curls in place. Once you break the cast, vibrant, defined curls remain – shiny, frizz-free, and full of bounce. With the oil-free formula, you’ll achieve flexible hold and a weightless, voluminous finish.

Enriched with nourishing betaine and apple extract, the gel hydrates and conditions your hair without weighing it down. The refreshing scent of orange and lemon balm completes the styling experience perfectly.

If your hair craves extra hold, we recommend layering two gels for optimal results. At Curl Bites, we call this the 2-Step Hold System, delivering maximum definition and hold:

1. Apply the Volume & Hold Scrunching Gel first to provide essential volume and beautiful fullness with medium hold.

2. Follow with the Mega Definition Strong Hold Gel to add strong hold and extra definition.

Together, these two gels are unbeatable, working in harmony for long-lasting definition and the perfect balance of lightness, volume, and bounce.

The curl gel is applied directly after the leave-in conditioner to set the definition and give hair long-lasting hold.

Step 1: First, make sure your hair is still quite wet. If it has started to dry, use a spray bottle to re-wet it thoroughly. Rub the product between your palms and distribute it evenly through your wet hair.

Step 2: Gently but firmly scrunch the hair upward to encourage the curls to form and bounce. Ensure you’ve used enough product. If your hair tends to lose shape quickly, we recommend applying the gel in two layers.

Optional Step 3 for mega definition: If your hair loves extra hold, we recommend layering two gels. At Curl Bites, we call this the 2-Step Hold System, which provides maximum definition and hold.

Apply the Mega Definition Strong Hold Gel as your second gel to achieve strong hold and extra definition.

These two gels work perfectly together, offering long-lasting definition and just the right amount of lightness to achieve maximum volume and bounce.

Step 4: Use a diffuser on medium speed and medium heat to dry the hair. Rotate your head in all directions to increase volume as you dry.

Step 5: Once the hair is completely dry, scrunch it again to break the “gel cast,” leaving your hair super soft and smooth.

The hold-enhancing ingredients form a clear film on dry hair, known in the curl world as the “gel cast.” This hard layer surrounds each strand, making the hair feel frozen or appear “wet.” This is a great sign of strong hold and definition! Simply scrunch out the gel cast to reveal the soft, defined, bouncy curls and waves you desire.
